Getting an Ukraine Visa at the Embassy

The holders of passports of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and Liechtenstein are exempted of the obligation of visa to travel to Ukraine for a period less than 90 days. However, this exemption does not aim the citizens who go to Ukraine for a deadline exceeding 90 days, nor those which intend to work in Ukraine, including in a diplomatic representation, to study there, to be established there, or within the framework of a family regrouping.

To obtain an Ukraine visa you first need to get an invitation.

When you have an invitation, you need to submit it to the Ukraine Embassy of your country (see our embassies addresses) and apply for a visa.
You can apply in person and collect your visa to the embassy or apply by post by registered service and your visa will be sent to you back.

Visa application form for Ukraine What do you to have to give to the Ukraine Embassy to apply for an Ukraine visa :
  • Your invitation (a fax copy is accepted)
  • Your passport (It should be valid for at least 6 months after the visa expires)
  • 1 photo passport
  • For tourist : Copy of hotel confirmation or letter of confirmation from tour operator with signature and company stamp
    For business: Letter of invitation from Company or Organization in Ukraine
  • A filled-in visa application form, one per person (download a sample here)
  • The consulate application fee to obtain the visa. This varies according to the location of the consulate. Check with your ambassy for information on their visa fees.
