Lake Baikal
Boat voyage & walking tour

One of the most interesting tours on Lake Baikal. You will have a rented boat of "Yaroslavets" type (24 m length, 4 m width). Several stops in many picturesque and well-known places are made to walk on the shore. This tour combines filling of the sea voyage with sunbathing on the best Baikal sandy beaches, walking along the coast and witnessing ancient cultures artifacts. We take small dingeys or canoes to try paddling at the sea.

This program is flexible, landings are arranged with respect to weather conditions. In case of rain or wind, boat navigates to the nearest calm bay.

PROGRAM

Day 1
Transfer from airport/station, accommodation in Irkutsk at hotel Irkutsk, 3 hours city tour with one museum.

Breakfast. Transfer to Listvyanka settlement by private car, start of the boat part of the tour. Visit to Museum of Lake Baikal (Limnological Museum). Navigate in Peschanaya (Sandy) Bay. Night in tents on the shore of Lake Baikal or on the board.

Day 3
Navigate near Olkhon island . Short stop between Peschanaya Bay and Olkhon Island near the Sagan-Zaba rocks with pictures carved by ancient people. Night on the shore of Olkhon Island . Full board.

Day 4
Navigate from Olkhon to Chivyrkuy Bay on the eastern shore of Lake Baikal via Ushkany islands, watching seals, which are numerous on these small islands. Night on the shore of Chivyrkuy Bay. Full board.

Day 5
Walking excursion in Chivyrkuy Bay , mineral hot spring (water temperature is about 40-44 C). Navigate to the western shore of Lake Baikal. Night in tents on the shore of the lake or on the board. Full board.
Day 6
Navigate along the western shore of Lake Baikal with stops and walking on the shore. Full board.

Day 7
Arrival in Listvyanka settlement. Transfer by private bus to Irkutsk . Accommodation in hotel “ Irkutsk ”. Full board.

Day 8
breakfast. Transfer to airport/station. Departure from Irkutsk .
